Jake is the charismatic heart-breaker with a troubled past and the point of view character for most of the first season. Determined and dedicated, but to what end? Is he being manipulated by the Narrators? Does he have a past with the Reapers that might cost him everything? Is there redemption awaiting him in the Library?
Behind the scenes[]
The cast and crew have been pretty tight-lipped about what the future might hold for Jake. The rumor mill is still churning, though, and the rumor is that the actor has been spotted on set. Is he coming back? Time will tell.
Many fans have noticed that Rebecca and Jake's shadows do not behave as they should, moving towards light sources in an unnatural way. Speculation is that these characters are Outsiders, given Rebecca's connection to Control and theories about Jake's connection to The Reapers.
